Cost and paying
Do I really pay nothing up front?
Yes. You pay when the job is done and you’re happy.
Will the price change once you start?
No. The price we give you is the price you pay. It only changes if you ask for more work.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. There’s no cost and no pressure.
Can I get a price online?
Yes. Use the “Get a rough price online” link at the bottom of any page. It gives you a rough price to plan with. Your exact price comes after we see your home.
How much does painting cost?
It depends on the size of the job and how much fixing it needs. Our Pricing page shows price ranges for common jobs.
Timing
How long does a job take?
Most homes take 2 to 5 days. Cabinets take 3 to 4 days.
When can you paint outside?
Spring to fall, when it’s warm enough for paint to dry right.
Your home during the job
How do you protect my floors and furniture?
We cover floors, tape off trim and cover furniture that stays in the room.
Do I need to empty my cabinets?
No.
What do I need to do first?
Take down pictures and art. We’ll do the rest.
Paint and colors
What paint do you use?
Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore. We use earth-friendly paint when we can.
Can you help me pick colors?
Yes. Color help is free with every job.
How often should I paint the outside?
Wood siding usually every 3 to 7 years. Stucco every 5 to 15. Vinyl usually only for a new color.
Safety and promises
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes.
My home is old. Is lead paint a problem?
No. We’re EPA Lead-Safe certified. We’re trained to work safely with lead paint. Many homes built before 1978 have it.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. Every job has a 5-year warranty. We also promise a crew that is helpful, careful and polite.
